From your app idea to MVP definition

All successful apps start with great ideas. But not all great ideas lead to successful apps. The path to success begins with a sound mobile app strategy. At The Crazy Wolves, the mobile app strategy phase begins with our teams and clients preparing research about the marketplace and potential user base — and then culminates when all stakeholders gather together in a multi-day discovery session.

During discovery, we will deconstruct your idea, marry it with user needs, then align it with your business goals. Key members of our team collaborate with your stakeholders during a series of exercises to analyze the opportunity from every angle. And once we get to the very core of the idea — the place where the user’s value proposition and your business needs intersect — we’ll define the initial version and your app’s minimum viable product (MVP). And if during discovery, we find the idea doesn’t solve key user problems or satisfy a business goal, then we’ll help you redirect and take a different approach, rather than waste your time and money.

Either way, at the end of our app strategy phase, all stakeholders are aligned on the project goals and the MVP. And only then does the project move into the app design phase.

EXPERIENCE DESIGN

We create engaging mobile app experiences and visual journeys that delight users throughout each step. From information architecture, to user interface and visual design, we consider the entire experience we want to deliver.

Great mobile app design starts with the user

What separates a good mobile app design from a great one? It’s pretty simple, really: the user.

A great mobile app is more than pretty screens. It’s about the path your users take, starting the moment they download your app and includes all the critical steps they take in reaching the goals you defined as part of your mobile app strategy. Depending on the nature of your app, this user experience (UX) design could include app store discovery, first launch/onboarding, social/sharing, checkout / purchase, re-engagement, and much more.

Once we’ve nailed the UX design, then we can focus on the visual refinements of the user interface (UI). This is where thoughtful details create the lasting nature of an app’s experience. It’s the little things like subtle animations, interesting backgrounds, surprising bursts of color that can transform an effective mobile app design into something delightful and memorable. It’s what turns users into loyal users, who become your most effective evangelists to encourage more usage.

APP ENGINEERING

The Crazy Wolves engineers work swiftly to build, test and launch your mobile products across platforms. We have unmatched technical experience with iOS and Android, and are on the leading edge of chat bots, voice bots and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Tackling the toughest mobile app engineering problems since 2008

One of the benefits of experience is encountering problems you’ve seen before. We’ve been engineering mobile apps since the dawn of the App Store. There isn’t a problem we haven’t solved. Those problems include breaking through even the trickiest of technological barriers.

But we do more than just code. Our mobile app engineers are trained to continually ask if there’s a better way to build something, to challenge convention, and to innovate by finding new ways to deliver business value for our clients. We train our engineers to ask why. They certainly can code your app any way you’d like — but with their mastery of platforms and tools, there’s a good chance they’ll find a more efficient way to do it better. And with our agile development approach, our engineers work side by side with our mobile app designers to ensure we’re doing everything we can to get your app to market with the right features at the right time.

LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT

We’ve got you covered even after you launch your app. The Crazy Wolves application lifecycle management (ALM) includes 24-by-7 monitoring and maintenance support, so you can rest assured that your app continues working the way you intended.

Application lifecycle management

Just because you published your app, it doesn’t mean you’re done. The world around your app is constantly changing, and your app will need to evolve.

With our Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) service, we provide analysis, technical support, maintenance and peace of mind that your app will continue to function the way it was designed.

The Crazy Wolves offers ALM to clients for free for 15 days after the launch of an app. After those 15 days are over, you can choose to renew it for a period of time ranging from three months to two years.

Analysis

The Crazy Wolves will use a combination of analytics tools and crash monitoring to make sure your app is performing as expected. If we find issues, we’ll let you know what’s happening and make recommendations on how to address them.

Technical support

With ALM, The Crazy Wolves’s product leaders will respond promptly to any questions you may have about the functionality of your app or the way it is designed or implemented. And should any problems arise, we’ll diagnose the issue and identify how to resolve it.

Maintenance

Stuff happens. Issues arise. Changes to your app will need to be made to keep it current over time. Some examples of things that could happen that might require updates to your app:

  • New versions of a mobile OS (e.g. iOS, Androids, Windows) are introduced.
  • 3rd party plug-ins or other services your app uses (e.g. a social sharing feature) might be updated.
  • As your user base grows, unintended use cases expose new issues.

Don’t let your app get out of date. Talk to The Crazy Wolves today to learn more about our ALM service.
